TP Petroleum Corporation Privacy Policy

1). Information about the Foundation of Our Company and Our Website
In the framework of this Privacy Policy, TP Petroleum Distribution Corporation (“TPPD”) commits to protecting the confidentiality of its customers. This Privacy Policy is presented in order to offer information about the type of personal data reaching TPPD and the way such data are used in connection with this website.

This website is subject to the limitations in the legislation of the Republic of Turkey. Any dispute arising from the use of this website will be resolved by competent courts to be determined in accordance with the relevant legislation. All contents published in the website www.tppd.com.tr are prepared and published under the supervision of TP Petroleum Distribution Corporation.

2). Protection of Personal Data
In accordance with the Law on the Protection of Personal Data numbered 6698 (the "Law"), “personal data” is defined as any form of information regarding a real individual who is identified or identifiable. Information shared during a visit to our website, in the case of an order for products or services, participation in a contest/survey or for any other reason, the data shared will be defined as “personal data”.

3). Processing of Personal Data
One of the aims of the TPPD website is to inform its clients about the operations and services of the company. Personal Data are collected and used in order to ensure a better delivery of the required services or information.

The goals of the use of Personal Data are listed below:

  • To respond to the questions and requests communicated to TPPD,
  • To process orders and applications sent,
  • To fulfill obligations arising from agreements made with TPPD,
  • To anticipate and resolve problems relating to any good or service supplied by TPPD,
  • To develop goods and services to meet the needs of the customers.

TPPD pledges to use Personal Data belonging to its customers only for the purposes of direct marketing in order to serve its customers better. In the framework of the Privacy Policy, Personal Data pertaining to customers shall only be used for the expressed purposes with the information and express consent of the customers. It is essential that customers are informed and give their express consent before the use of Personal Data for direct marketing purposes in line with the obligation to enlighten the customer.

Should the customers wish to end the use of their Personal Data by TPPD towards the purposes listed above, they need to contact TPPD by using the contact information given on TPPD’s website. Such Personal Data will then be erased, destroyed or anonymized, and the customers will be informed of the outcome in accordance with the procedures outlined in Law 6698.

Other than the purposes referred to in this Privacy Policy, TPPD shall not use its customers’ personal data without their permission apart from the exceptions mentioned in article 28 of Law 6698.

4). Protection of Personal Data
Once the Personal Data are anonymized, they are saved throughout the duration of the subscription period to be able to communicate effectively with individuals. The customer has the obligation to inform TPPD of any change which may occur in their Personal Data. Persons who wish to make changes to their Personal Data or correct an error need to contact TPPD at www.tppd.com.tr.

TPDD secures the safe and updated storage of all Personal Data it holds; it further ensures the prevention of illegal processing of and access to such data and its safeguarding.

5). Sharing of Personal Data
TPPD cannot share with third parties or otherwise disclose Personal Data with the purpose of marketing TPPD’s products and services without express consent from its customers. Exceptions to this are indicated in article 28 or Law 6698.

6). Direct Marketing
As explained previously, customers will be sent marketing messages that may attract their interest in line with their marketing preferences. It is essential that the messages to be sent have content that complies with the relevant articles in the Turkish Commercial Code. Individuals who wish to cancel these marketing messages may contact the company at www.tppd.com.tr to use their right to wave or follow the instructions in the marketing message.

7). Site Traffic Data and Cookies
TPPD servers automatically save data about visits to the website based on the IP addresses of the visitors. These data do not identify the visitor but define the computer or other device used to access the website. The data collected are used for click path analysis in order to find out the countries where the visitors are located and to better understand the use of the website. TPPD website is not suitable for children younger than 13 and TPPD shall not deliberately collect any Personal Data for children under 13 through any other means and shall not use, supply and process such data. In other words, TPPD does not deliberately collect data from children under 13 years of age.

9). Changes to Be Made to the Privacy Policy
TPPD regularly reviews its Privacy Policy and reserves the right to make occasional changes in the Privacy Policy. All updates are published on this website. Customers will be considered to have approved the relevant changes if they continue to use the website after the changes are made.
