Gürz Kodal, Vice Chairman of Zülfikarlar Holding Board of Directors placed emphasis on the importance of high targets following the merger and told the dealers, “The key to growth lies with our dealers, your suggestions will shed light upon our path. As we design our strategies, we will carefully incorporate the results of this meeting. You will clearly enjoy the advantages of working with a strong structure such as this one and becoming a part of this growth in the upcoming period.”

As he shared the company’s targets for the new period with the dealers, Çağdaş Demirağ, General Manager of Turkish Petroleum and Turkuaz Petrol assured them that they would continue to grow together. Demirağ said:

“As Turkuaz Petrol, we carried out the biggest privatization in 2016 and became the highest bidder with our 490-million TL offer, making us the new owners Turkish Petroleum. This acquisition was a major development that added value to both our national economy and to our industry. From now on, we will perform our work with a “single brand” and “single company” philosophy and continue our operations under the Turkish Petroleum trademark. We will conclude the merger process between the two companies in the near future. With the iftar dinner receptions we held in 21 cities, we opted to organize smaller and more intimate meetings instead of a large dealership convention. This gave us the opportunity to hear local problems and suggestions from our dealers. The receptions were very efficient as we had the opportunity to have top-level, first-hand contacts with our dealers.”

Emphasizing their faith in the dealership system and their determination to continue working with dealers in order to reach their goals, Demirağ went on to say, “We are a big and strong family with over 700 stations supported by around 7,500 employees and their families. We aim to reach 800 stations by the end of 2018 and add 1,000 new members to our family. As we progress towards our goal with confidence, we will benefit greatly from the presence of our dealers and the fait they feel in our brand. Thanks to them, we will be able to reach out to all corners of Turkey with our innovative service approach. We will continue to investment in all 81 provinces of Turkey and grow together through the work of our business partners.”

The merger made Turkish Petroleum one of the top 5 companies in the Turkish fuel distribution sector with over 700 filling stations, 10 fuel storage facilities, 4 LPG plants and a fuel storage capacity of over 150 thousand cubic meters.

The iftar dinner receptions hosted by Turkish Petroleum and Turkuaz Petrol were also met with great interest by the local press. At the same time, these receptions became a pioneer in the industry; they were organized in a very short period of time, attracted many participants, and also enabled the company to visit different locations across the country.
